Your Sahora account starts with an email invitation. This guide walks you through choosing your password, setting up two-step verification and the privacy notice, in the order Sahora shows them.
Before you start
- Accounts are by invitation only. Your invitation comes from your company's owner, a payroll officer or HR, or from Sahora when your sign-up is approved.
- If your role needs two-step verification (every role except Employee), install an authenticator app on your phone first, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
Choose your password
- Open the email "You're invited to Sahora" (or "Your Sahora workspace for ... is ready") and click Set up my account.
- On the page that opens, click Continue.
- Type a New password: at least 12 characters, with uppercase and lowercase letters and a number.
- Type it again under Type it again and click Save password.
Sahora emails you that your password was set. You don't need to do anything with that email.
Set up two-step verification
Everyone except employees enters a code from their phone at every sign-in.
- On Set up two-step verification, click I have the app: show QR code.
- In your authenticator app, tap Add (or +) and scan the code. If you can't scan it, open Can't scan? Enter this key instead and type the key into the app.
- Type the 6-digit code the app shows and click Verify.
Add a backup authenticator
Next you see Add a backup authenticator. Every role that uses two-step verification keeps two, so you can still sign in if your phone is lost or replaced.
- Use a second device (another phone or a tablet), or a second authenticator app or password manager that backs up its codes.
- Scan the new QR code with it and enter its code.
Don't use the same app on the same phone as your first one.
Read the privacy notice
- On Before you continue, scroll the notice to the end.
- Click I have read the privacy notice.
You see this again only when the notice is updated.
Owners: accept the terms
The first time an owner opens the company, Sahora shows Terms for your company. Read the documents listed, tick the box and click Accept and continue. You accept them once for the company. If a colleague accepted them when setting the company up, the owner or Treasurer / CFO / VP-Finance is asked to confirm them too.
Signing in after that
- Go to sahora.ph and click Sign in, or open Sahora from your home screen.
- Type your Email and Password and click Sign in.
- If your role needs it, type the 6-digit code from your authenticator app and click Verify.
If you have access to more than one company or to the employee portal, choose where to go. Otherwise Sahora opens your workspace straight away.
What can go wrong
- "That link is invalid or has expired. Ask for a new one." Ask the person who invited you to resend the invitation, or use Forgot password? on the sign-in page. It also works if you never finished setting up your account.
- "Incorrect email or password." Check the email you were invited with. To choose a new password, click Forgot password?, type your email and click Send reset link.
- "Too many failed attempts." Wait the time shown, or reset your password.
- "That code didn't work." Codes change every 30 seconds. Type the current one.
- "No access yet" Your login works, but no company has given you access. Ask the person who invited you.
- You lost your phone. Sign in with your backup authenticator. If you have neither, contact Sahora support at support@sahora.ph to reset your two-step verification. See Keeping your account safe.
Good to know
- Sahora signs you out after a period of inactivity. You see "You were signed out after a period of inactivity." Sign in again.
- Employees sign in to the portal the same way, without two-step verification. See Signing in to the portal.
