Finding your way around

The dashboard, the menu, search, notifications and switching companies.

For:Owner / ManagementPayroll officerHR adminPayroll approverFinance

This guide shows you around the company workspace: the dashboard, the menu, search, notifications, help and switching between companies.

The dashboard

Each company opens on its Dashboard. What you see depends on your role.

  • Your role: badges under the company name show your role, and Sahora Managed or Your access: firm team where that applies.
  • Setup: while the company is new, a card shows how many setup steps are done, with Start guided setup or Continue guided setup for owners. See The guided setup.
  • Before your first cut-off: until the first payroll is approved, a card lists what makes the first payslips match what employees got before.
  • Waiting for you: the tasks for your role, urgent ones first: payrolls to compute or approve, requests to decide, filings due and records to complete. Click a task to open it. When nothing is waiting, the card says so.
  • Labor cost: for those who see pay, the cost of the last months by month and by branch.

The menu

The menu is on the left on a computer and in a row at the top on a phone. You see only the parts your role can use.

Search

Type in the box at the top, Search employees, payroll, pages, help, and press Enter. Sahora looks in:

  • Employees: by name, number or position.
  • Payroll periods: by date, for example 2026-10 or 2026-10-15.
  • Pages: by what you call them, for example 2316, payout or pay groups.
  • Help: topics that mention your words.

Notifications

The bell at the top shows how many notifications you haven't read. Click it to see the latest, then click one to open what it is about. Click Mark all read to clear the count.

Click All notifications and email settings to see the full list and choose under Email settings which kinds also come by email: Requests, Payroll, Reminders and Payslip ready. Everything still appears under the bell. Click Save email settings when you are done.

Help

Click Help at the top for the Help center: short topics you can search, with the legal source where there is one. The ? tips beside many fields explain them in a sentence.

Switching companies

If you have access to more than one company, or also to the employee portal, click Switch workspace at the top. Choose the company or My payslips from the list.

Good to know

  • Devices at the top lists where your login is signed in. See Keeping your account safe.
  • Banners at the top of each page tell you about anything affecting the whole company, such as a trial ending, an overdue billing statement or a workspace that is read-only.

Where this guide gives a rate, limit or number of days set by law, it is the one in force today, 24 October 2026, from the official tables Sahora uses for payroll.
