Payroll that follows Philippine rules

Every amount comes from the official tables in force on the pay date, shows its formula, and can be traced to the rule behind it.

  • SSS (including MPF and EC), PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG, deducted every pay, once a month, or each agency on its own schedule
  • Withholding tax by the BIR table or year to date, counting a new hire's previous employer (BIR 2316), with year-end annualization and refunds
  • Overtime, night differential, rest days and every holiday type, per the DOLE handbook, for monthly-, daily- and hourly-paid employees
  • Official rates kept in dated tables, verified by a second person and frozen with each payroll, so past payslips always reproduce
  • Minimum wage checked against the wage order in force on each day, by region, area and type of employer, with exemption certificates
  • 13th month pay, final pay (separation and retirement pay, leave cash, loans), maternity benefit and salary differential, back pay for back-dated increases
  • De minimis benefits at the current BIR limits, and the yearly tax-free ceiling for 13th month pay and other benefits
  • Semi-monthly, monthly, weekly and daily pay, with your own cut-offs and pay dates
  • AutoPilot prepares each payroll the day after cut-off, ready for your review Paid plans

BIR and government

Sahora prepares the forms and reports on BIR's and the agencies' own layouts. You or your accountant file them.

  • BIR Forms 1601-C and 1604-C printed on BIR's own forms
  • BIR Form 2316 for every employee (PDF, or a ZIP named the BIR way), with the employer's and the employee's signatures
  • The alphalist DAT file in the layout of BIR's validation module, with checks before you file
  • SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG contribution and loan lists, the Pag-IBIG remittance form, and a filing calendar with reminders
  • Payroll journal entry for your books, in Excel or CSV
  • QuickBooks Online and Xero import files, by cost center if you like Paid plans
  • SSS and PhilHealth statements checked against Sahora's figures, employee by employee Paid plans

Time, leave and requests

Attendance from your biometric device, a timesheet or the employee's phone, with every problem shown before it reaches payroll.

  • Biometric device files imported with a check first: every problem listed, a preview before saving
  • Shifts and schedules; attendance from the time log, entered on screen or uploaded from Excel
  • Leave, overtime, official business, time corrections and claims, with approvers, stand-ins and a team leave calendar
  • Clock-in from the phone with selfie and location checks, with a liveness check; held for review when something looks off Paid plans

Control and review

A second pair of eyes before anyone is paid, and a record of every change after.

  • Maker-checker approval: the preparer can't approve their own payroll (a one-person company approves its own, and Sahora marks it so)
  • Every amount's formula shown; changes against the last payroll and against the last computation
  • Checks before you compute: requests waiting for approval, missing holidays, employees without bank accounts
  • Approved payrolls are locked; corrections go through adjustment runs
  • A complete activity log of who changed what, and when
  • Payroll comparisons, the year ledger and cost-center reports Paid plans

Employees

Everything about each employee in one file, and a portal where they see their own pay.

  • Password-protected payslips in the employee portal, in English or Filipino
  • An installable app that works in any phone browser: payslips, BIR 2316, loans, leave, requests and payslip questions
  • Employees ask about a payslip from the payslip itself, and payroll answers there
  • 201 files with salary and employment history, a document vault and expiry reminders
  • Employees fill in their own details and ID numbers when they join
  • Excel import of your employee list and opening balances, with a downloadable problems file
  • SSS and Pag-IBIG loan deductions with running balances
  • An email to each employee when their payslip is ready Paid plans
  • Company loans and cash advances with the employee's e-signed authorization Paid plans

Security and privacy

Built for the Data Privacy Act, with each company's data kept apart at the database level.

  • TIN, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG and bank numbers encrypted
  • Two-step sign-in (authenticator app) for everyone who handles payroll
  • Each company's data isolated at the database level; access by role, branch or department
  • Data kept in Singapore; your full data export at any time
  • A public status page
