If you forgot to clock in or out, missed a break punch, or a time is wrong, ask for a time correction. Your supervisor checks it, and once it is approved the times count like any other punch.
Before you start
Open Clock in / out in the portal. You ask for corrections there even if your company records time with biometrics or timesheets.
Find the day to fix
The Days to check (last 30 days) list shows days such as No clock-in, No clock-out, Missed break punch, Unpaired punch and No punches on a workday.
- Tap Ask for a correction beside a day. The correction form opens with that date filled in.
- A day with a correction already waiting shows Waiting for approval instead.
- If your last correction for a day was rejected, the link reads Correction rejected; ask again if needed.
If you were on leave or official business that day, file that request instead (see Filing leave, overtime and official business).
Ask for a correction
- Tap Missed or wrong punch? Ask for a correction to open the form, or use the link beside a day.
- In Date, choose the day to fix: today or an earlier day.
- Fill in only the times that are missing or wrong: Time in, Time out, Break start, Break end.
- If you worked a night shift that ended after midnight, tick Time out is the next day (night shift).
- In What happened, explain briefly, for example "Forgot to clock out; phone had no signal".
- Optional: tap Attach proof and choose one photo or PDF, such as a logbook page, gate pass or memo, up to 5 MB.
- Tap Send for approval. You see "Sent for approval."
Follow your correction
Your corrections (last 60 days) lists each one with its date, times and status: Waiting for approval, Approved, Rejected or Withdrawn. The reviewer's note and your proof are shown beside it.
- Changed your mind while it is waiting? Tap Withdraw.
- If it was rejected, read the note and ask again with the right times or more proof.
Your supervisor decides, or your employer's approver if you have no supervisor. Some companies send every correction to the owner or a payroll officer. Nobody approves their own correction.
Notices about missed punches
The day after a missed clock-in or clock-out, Sahora sends you a notice, for example "Missing clock-out on ...". Its link opens the correction form for that day. For a shift that may run past midnight, the notice waits one more day. If the day is still not corrected two working days later, you get one reminder. These notices are in English.
What can go wrong
- "Enter the time in, the time out, or the break times.": fill in at least one time.
- "Corrections are for past days.": the date is in the future.
- "The time out must be after the time in (tick "next day" for a night shift).": check the times, or tick the night shift box.
- "The break must be between the time in and the time out.": check the break times.
- "Say what happened (e.g. forgot to clock out).": fill in What happened.
- "Attach a photo (JPG, PNG) or a PDF as proof." or "The proof is larger than 5 MB.": choose another file, or take the photo again.
Good to know
- Your original punches are never changed. An approved correction is added as its own punch, marked correction under Today.
- Ask early. Once a payroll period is approved, its attendance is final. Ask while the period is still open.
