Announcements

Post a notice for everyone, a branch or a department in the employee portal.

For:Owner / ManagementPayroll officerHR admin

Announcements are short notices your employees see in the employee portal: a holiday schedule, a policy reminder, a payroll date that moved. This guide shows how to post one, aim it at a branch or department, and take it down.

Before you start

  • Owner / Management users, payroll officers and HR admins can post and remove announcements.
  • Employees see announcements only if your company uses the employee portal (see Inviting employees to the portal).
  • Announcements aren't emailed. Employees see them when they open the portal.

Post an announcement

  1. Open Announcements from the menu.
  2. Under New announcement, type a Title and the Message.
  3. In For, keep Everyone, or choose one branch or one department.
  4. Leave Publish on blank to show it now, or choose a date. A future date shows from 8:00 that morning.
  5. Leave Last day shown blank to keep it until you remove it, or choose the last day it should show.
  6. Tick Pin to the top if it should stay above the others.
  7. Click Post announcement.

The list on the page shows each announcement as Showing, Scheduled or Ended, with Pinned for pinned ones.

What employees see

Employees see current announcements on the portal's Overview page, and all of them under All announcements. An employee sees an announcement for everyone, and the ones for their own branch or department.

Take an announcement down

Click Remove beside it, then confirm. It disappears from the portal for everyone.

Good to know

  • The last day can't be before the publish date; Sahora asks you to fix the dates.
  • To change the text of a posted announcement, remove it and post it again.
  • Supervisors and employees can't post announcements.

Where this guide gives a rate, limit or number of days set by law, it is the one in force today, 24 October 2026, from the official tables Sahora uses for payroll.
